I have been passionate about photography for more than 45 years. I love the history of photography, taking pictures, processing pictures, and sharing them. Photography provides me with an excuse to explore, probe, and observe. I do not assume, however, that photography shows "truth" for others; instead, it reflect the "truth" I want to share. I get to choose where I stand, the angle of the frame, what is included in the frame, depth of field, and the exposure. The truth is my construction.
I am largely self-taught in terms of the mechanics and over the years I have been influenced by Connie Imboden, Ernesto Bazan, Tom Wolff, Jason Eskenazi, Jeff Jacobson, Joseph Kouldelka, Mark Steinmetz, Sylvia Plachy, and William Klein.
